Gareth has a background in primary education and has worked as an Educational Consultant for 13 years across the UK and internationally. He has significant experience as a school inspector, which has been central to his work, alongside a strong focus on supporting school improvement in the primary phase.

Earlier in his career, he led a local authority primary advisory team, taking a lead role in driving school improvement across primary schools. He has also served as a headteacher — so he understands first-hand the pressures leaders face when preparing for inspection.
